Description

Have you decided your plans for the next winter season? Join one of my ski touring groups in Switzerland! These 2-day, weekend programs are designed to make the most of the region and get to know the Alps in depth, while improving your skiing skills.

On this program, I will guide you on two complete day trips, filled with great descents and perfect snow conditions. While each weekend focuses on different locations, they are all programmed to take place in three main areas, some of the Alps best:

  • Oberalppass: this high mountain pass has an altitude 0f 2,044 m. It connects the cantons of Grabünden and Uri, between Disentis and Andermatt

  • Furkapass: with an elevation of 2,432 m, this high mountain pass is located on one the snowiest Swiss regions

  • The Surselva region: one of the most dynamic in Switzerland!

All in all, the ski touring options in these regions are all worth visiting! They offer beautiful, gentle climbs and unforgettable descents. From December to April, I will be guiding groups every weekend. Find the one that bests suits your availability and goals (see all the dates and specific locations below).

Depending on the specific tours, we will use mountain railways, taxis or shuttles to reach the starting point for our program.

Accommodation is included in the price, and will be in hotels either in Disentis, Sedrun or Rueras, or other options in Vals, Brigels, Andermatt or Safien Valley – from wich we will depart for our day tours.

Mountain Guide

I have been a guide for the past 19 years. The fascinating and unique impressions of the mountain world are what motivate me the most. I love introducing my guests to the different aspects of climbing and skiing and other activities up in the mountain.

I spend my winters between Disents/ Mustér, Andermatt and also all over the Alps, where freeriding and skitouring is the star activity. When spring begins, I like traveling to the north for Fjord and Fjell, Ski and Sail touring and also to the Caucasian mountains. Later, in the summer, I love going on multi pitch rock climbing, mainly in the Swiss Alps, Dolomites and Chamonix. A great part of my experience has also been on several 4,000m+ peaks in the Alps and some mountains all around the world.

My specialties as a guide include skiing, mountaneering in rock and ice, and challenging climbs in limestone and granite. I always work to adapt the different options to the goals and desires of my guests.

Another part of my job has to do with Swiss Mountain Guide education. For the past 8 years I have been teaching different courses to aspirant guides.

Safety is a core value for me. This is the key to returning back home with the certainty of having experienced one-of-a-kind and enriching holidays. I look forward to guiding you soon, whether it is climbing, skiing or mountaineering.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
