Description

Have you ever tried multi-pitch climbing? Do you want to experience the passion for heights with a mountain guide?

Around Arco, in northern Italy, there are hundreds of multi-pitch routes of all difficulties. This is not a fixed trip, but rather one that I can adapt to your level, whatever it is! The Sarca Valley offers great possibilities for lots of fun and adventure.

Situated in the Sarca Valley, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region at the north of Italy, Arco is settled on the top of sheer limestone cliffs. It offers a huge adventure area for rock climbers with climbing spots for everyone: single pitch sports routes or long multi-pitch routes, all perfectly cleaned and bolted.

We can head up to different climbing routes, depending on the weather and your wishes. Muro dell’Asino, for example, is perfectly suited for beginners and those wishing to make their first leading steps. Placche di Baone is a band of limestone that lies at the south side base of Monte Baone and offers mainly grip-based climbing with a spectacular view of Arco and Lake Garda.

Or, you can try something more challenging like the Spigolo Nascosto route in Santa Massenza. It is a seven pitches climbing line with some bolts but mainly threads and trees as protections.

The duration of the trip depends on the route you choose.

So, are you ready you enjoy this alluring experience? Do not hesitate to book this trip!

Or, if you are looking for other options around the area, please check my Via Ferrata half day adventure in Sallagoni River or my Sentiero Contrabbandieri Via Ferrata near Arco.

Mountain Guide

Certified mountain and ski guide and is directing since 15 years the Mountain School Mmove (former Friends of Arco). In the past, his passion had driven him for weeks to the solitude of the Alps, of Patagonia, or of the icy heights of the Karakorum to climb famous walls and peaks and open up new routes.

Today his priorities have moved. He wants to share his enthusiasm for the mountains - while working with his guests and in his spare time with his sons, as his father has once done with him. Mauro Girardi is very proud on its enthusiastic and highly qualified team of local Mountain-and Ski Guides, Hiking Guides and office employees. Mmove is not just a mountain school, but is a steadily growing circle of friends, who would like to realize great experiences. We like to Mmove it !!

Mmove is the only mountain school in the Alto Garda region with a guaranteed weekly program and activities for all tastes and the whole family.

The team is formed by 8 IFMGA/UIAGM Guides, so if Mauro is not available, one of the other highly qualified members of the team will be the guide.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
