Description

Towering above the rest of the stunning Himalayas, Everest is the highest mountain on Earth! Heading out on an Everest View Trek is the best way to see the mighty mountain in all of its glory.

While the conventional wisdom was that some significant trekking needed to be done in order to get the best views of the peak, we've found a way around that with our 10-day luxury program.

We've abbreviated the traditional loop that most trekkers take when heading to this incredible part of the world and left in some of the most scenic parts, making the trek appropriate for all level of participants!

The adventure begins after you arrive in Kathmandu. The following day, we will fly to Lukla and head out on the first leg of the trek.

As we go, we will cross roaring rivers, hike through thick rhododendron forests and visit various Sherpa villages.

Once we've reached Namche Bazaar, we will get our first stunning views of Mount Everest.

From here, we'll continue on to the renowned Tengboche monastery, which boasts the best views of Mount Everest as well as stunning vistas of Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kwangde peak.

After this scenic climax, we'll slowly wind our way back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu. Once back in the capital, we will enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant, before it is time to say goodbye.

Please note for groups of 10 or more, the price is $1725/person. Meals in Kathmandu, with the exception of the farewell dinner, are not included in the price.


Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

After flying into Tribhuvan International Airport, you will meet one of our representatives and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m) to Phakding (2640m)

We will take a morning flight to Lukla and begin trekking to Phakding, making a gentle climb along the left bank of the Dudh Koshi.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

We will hike toward Namche Bazaar. As we go, we will cross the Dudh Koshi on a suspension bridge and begin ascending into Sagarmatha National Park through a thick rhododendron forest. Once we arrive in Namche Bazaar, we will get our first great views of Mount Everest.

Day 4: Namche Bazaar

We will spend the day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar. Here, we will visit the Khumjung monastery, from where we will enjoy some great views of Everest and other iconic Himalayan peaks.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3780m)

We will spend the day hiking to Khumjung, passing the Everest View hotel en route and enjoying some more phenomenal views of the peak.

Day 6: Khumjung to Tyangboche (3860m)

We will spend the day hiking to Tyanboche. On the way, we will climb to the famed Tengboche Gompa, from which we will enjoy some incredible views out over Everest and many other Himalayan peaks.

Day 7: Tengboche to Monjo (2835m)

We will spend the day hiking down to Monjo, passing through Fuki Tenga and Namche Bazaar en route.

Day 8: Monjo to Lukla

We will hike back down by the banks of the Dudhkosi River until we reach Lukla.

Day 9: Lukla to Kathmandu

We will fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. Once back in the capital, you will have the afternoon free before we go out for our farewell dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant.

Day 10: Departure

You will transfer to the airport and fly home.

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me!
