Come join me in a 1-day hike around El Morado National Park! I'll walk you through an easy path surrounded by beautiful scenery!
Founded in 1974, El Morado National Park is one of the 16 Monumentos Naturales (Natural Monuments) in Chile. It is located only 93 kms southeast of Santiago, so it's a nearby destination that can be enjoyed in one day.
Surrounded by the Majestic peaks of El Mirador (4674m) and Mirador del Morado, it presents a perfect Andean scenery, where you can watch the local more than 300 flora species and over 20 of fauna.
I can offer you an early pick-up at your hotel in Santiago. At 7.30 am we'll go on a short drive passing through the small community of Baños Morales. Once inside El Morado National Park I'll guide you on an easy hike across an impressive canyon. We'll have lunch at our first stop, in Laguna Morales located at 2400 meters above sea level.
Consequently, after relaxing and enjoying the views, We'll continue to walk for an hour to the bottom of the Cerro San Francisco, where the powerful dirty glacier stands for us to admire! So you'll be able to look around the ice caves carved in the glacier and take pictures. Or just relax enjoying the fresh air!
The most powerful sight here is the pyramidal-shaped mountain of El Morado. Due to its difficulty to climb it is famous among Chilean climbers!
Finally, I'll guide you back to the car. Now you'll be able to choose if you want to stop for a drink at the well-known Refugio Alemán, which accommodates mountaineers coming to climb the highest summits at the south part of the Andes.
So please contact me to enjoy this guided walk through El Morado National Park! And if you want to enjoy another 1-day adventure, check my Rock Climbing or Villarica guided ascent.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
