I invite you to join me for one of the most beautiful and legendary ski tours in the Alps: the Haute Route of the Dolomites. I guarantee we will enjoy an unforgettable 6-day ski touring trip combined with the best off-piste skiing!
My plan is to start from the Pale di San Martino range and finish in the north east of the Dolomites, around Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
We will meet in Falcade, a tiny village in the Tre Valli ski resort. After equipment check and a trip brefing. the adventure will begin! You can check the day-by-day itinerary below this text.
The idea is to go on a hut to hut tour which requires a little effort, but you'll be rewarded with long runs down remote valleys. And all of this, dominated by the towering limestone cliffs of the Dolomites!
The Dolomites offer very good connections between ski resorts. Also, they have an excellent system of cozy and comfortable mountain huts. Besides, this Haute Route offers a perfect combination of off-piste skiing with great ski touring days.
Anyway, the vertical gain with skins will not be more than 700 metres a day. So, it's a tour accessible to anyone with fat skis, more downhill oriented.
Also, this adventure in the Dolomites is going to be an unforgettable food experience! We will enjoy the exceptional Italian local food, culture and hospitality. The best and delicious meals await us in the mountain huts!
So contact me if you want to join me on this ski tour far from the crowds. Get in touch with me and let's organize the ski week of your life! And if you want to climb the highest peak in the Dolomites, join me for a 1-day ascent to Marmolada (3343 m).
Meeting point
We will meet in Falcade, a little village in the Tre Valli ski resort. Equipment check and trip breafing.
A taxi will take us to Val Venegia (30′). Today we will traverse Monte Mulaz (700m vertical gain with skins) for a long ski descent down the north side to Molino, a little hamlet in the ski resort of Falcade. We will spend the night in the charming and beautiful Rifugio Fuciade. We will get to the hut with skis or by taxi, depending on conditions and timing.
Today we will enjoy another ski touring morning. Straight from the hut, we skin accross Forca Rossa di San Pellegrino (500m vertical gain) to ski down the north side to Malga Ciapela, at the foot of Marmolada (3300 m), the highest peak in the Dolomites. We will spend the rest of the day skiing off-piste around the mountain. Pian dei Fiacconi Hut is our place for the night.
We will get on the lifts to head towards Passo Pordoi. Then, we will traverse the Sella massif to ski down Val de Mesdì, one of the most famous off-piste in the Dolomites. Actually, it can be considered the Vallée Blanche of the Dolomites. We will spend the night in a B&B or Hotel in Alta Badia.
We will enjoy a great ski touring day, accross the Puez mountain range (vertical gain with skins: 700 m) for a long descent into the beautiful valley of Longiarù. It is said that passion is called so because it passes; then what I feel for the Mountain must have a different name, because it has been years since I have it, and it keeps on growing…
When I was a kid my parents took me to the mountains every summer, almost always in Val di Funes and in Val Pusteria. I liked to walk there. At the age of 14, I realized that all these mountains could be climbed… At 21, I attended my first climbing course with a mountain guide, it was as if I had opened my eyes from that moment! I used to climb in every spare moment and I read many books from Reinhold Messner, Hermann Buhl, Wakter Bonatti… my intention was to do like them.
My favorite field of action has always been the Dolomites, but I have also explored the Julian Alps, the Ortler and the Mont Blanc massif. And not just during the summer but also in winter. I then dedicate it to off-piste skiing in search of open spaces and the most picturesque canals, ski mountaineering, pristine environment, away from the tracks where everybody goes.
The desire to become a mountain guide is born in me during my first year, I admired the other people who had from this great passion make it their work.
If there is one thing that my personal history has taught me is that it's never too late to learn how to put the tips of the skis out of slopes, or to reach a top that has always been seen in dreams. And when I arrive at the destination, and I see in the eyes of those who followed me, the joy and happiness of the enterprise of discovery, I feel as if I were there myself for the first time, and that's the same place seen and reviewed reveals a new face and passion ... starts to burn.
Get in touch with me and let’s leave for great adventures together.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
