Description

The Denali national park is a magnificent area to visit in Alaska. It is also the perfect place for ski touring, which will be the focus of this 7 day adventure. Furthermore, there is an endless list of amazing highlights to see in the park. Just a few examples are the Ruth glacier and the Tokositna glacier. There are also various forests, rivers, lakes and other natural wonders to see as well.

Regarding the possible skiing areas, that is where you will really get to see how huge the Denali national park is. There is an assortment of different descents in the park, all with varying altitudes. But rest assured, based on your abilities, we will help you choose the right descent. And because we will be hiking for approximately 10 kilometres per day, you will definitely have the chance to find the right places to ski every day of this trip.

Our camp will be less than 40 kilometres from the great Mount Denali (6,190), formally known as Mount McKinley. Hence giving you the chance to gaze at the highest peak in North America whenever you wish.

Another advantage of staying in a campsite within the park is the unforgettable night views you will get to enjoy. Whenever you look up, you will get to admire stunning night skies that will be so full of stars you will think what you’re admiring cannot possibly be real. Thus giving you a wonderful experience during the day and night.

Price details

Along with the guiding fee, camping equipment, meals, and transportation, the price also includes safety equipment including satellite phone, maps, GPS and medical kit, but the price does not include personal equipment; however, if you do not already have the necessary equipment, several items can be rented prior to the starting of the trip.

Participants should bring the following items: 1 Litre refillable bottle of water, water bottle insulator, large duffel bag, skis, climbing skins, ski crampons, ski strap, adjustable ski poles, metal shovel, avalanche transceiver, probe, mountaineering helmet, appropriate boots, waterproof jacket and pants, insulated gloves, snow goggles, sun glasses, appropriate hats, sleeping bag, headlamp, socks, and personal items.
