Description

De Los Tres Glacier guided ski tour is your chance to do more than just admire the Iconic Fitz roy Mountain… Ski on its slopes!

This 1-day ski tour is a demanding experience, only suited for experienced off piste skiers, but the effort is totally worth it. Because of it's amazing view of the Fitz Roy, De Los Tres Glacier is one of the most visited spots in El Chaltén every summer. But winter is a completely different matter. Due to the solitude and of course the snow, everything changes.

I'll pick you up in El Chaltén early in the morning. Then we'll drive 15 km to El Pilar farm where the best path to go up to the glacier starts. From here on the path heads up the Río Blanco Valley for 7 km to the Río Blanco Base Camp. Now the real effort will begin: a steep ascent of 1200 meters to De Los Tres Lagoon.

Once in the emblematic Fitz Roy viewpoint, we'll go around or across the lagoon -depending on the ice condition. And we'll gear up to continue with the skis to reach the saddle between “Punta Velluda” and “Cerro Madsen”.

So much work will finally pay off! You'll enjoy a spectacular descent with some of the best snow quality of Argentina and a magical background!

So, if you're up to the challenge and you feel like having a unique experience contact me! this De Los Tres Glacier guided tour is something you won't forget for the rest of your life!

And if you have some more time available check my longer Ski Trips in El Chaltén: 5-day Gorra Blanca and One Week El Chaltén.

Certified UIAGM-IFMGA Mountain Guide from Argentina.

I live in El Chaltén since 1998. I'm originally from Bariloche and I started with mountain activities when I was 15 years old. I've done climbing and ascents in many mountains of Patagonia, Perú, Bolivia, United States and Europe; such as Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, Alpamayo, El Capitán, Mont Blanc and Aconcagua among others. I'm also a Ski Instructor and I am passionate for backcountry ski.

I speak fluent English, Italian and French and have been leading trips and expeditions for more than 20 years. I work together with a group of guides, so if I'm not available for the trip you request, one of my colleagues will guide you!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
