Description

You don’t want to miss the awesome Uriezzo Gorges in Piedmont. Join me on this one day hike as I show you all the best spots.

The Uriezzo Gorges

The Uriezzo Gorges are a stunning rock formations found in the Antigorio Valley. Etched out from the glaciers and streams of the last ice age, they really are a spectacular sight.

The walk is moderate and fit for all levels, including children. We can even tailor it to you. If you want a more or less intense hike, we can arrange that as well.

Along the way, we’ll be able to walk inside the gorges and see up close just how the water shaped the rocks. We’ll also visit Marmitte dei Giganti, where we can see the water through big potholes that have been caused by former glaciers. We’ll also visit the “Glacial Garden” of the Ossola Valley where we’ll be able to see more fantastic geological sights.

This trip is a wonderful way to get out in nature and explore the way different weather patterns have shaped our planet over the years.

Request to book now and I’ll be waiting for you to explore the Uriezzo Gorges and beautiful surrounding areas.

If you’re looking for a more challenging hike, why not check out my intermediate level day hike to the Zamboni Hut in Piedmont.

Beatrice

Tour guide, Naturalist Hiking guide, Tour leader, Nordic walking instructor

I obtained a degree in foreign languages and literature specializing in cultural history and Spanish in 2001. After having spent some time abroad and a 9-month study period in Salamanca Spain and working for the Spanish Tourism Authority in Milan in 2005 I has decided to follow my formation by attaining the Tour Guide licence in 2006, Naturalistic Hiking Guide licence in 2007 and a new degree in Tourism Management and Promotion and Tour Leader licence in 2009.

I have been starting working as a professional guide concentrating on naturalistic and cultural excursionistic tourism, carrying out environmental education activity collaborating as a didactic operator with Parks, Agencies and Associations, preparing and leading rehabilitation walking programs for patients with psychotic symptoms. I also participated to programs to promote typical territorial characteristics and produce of Ossola Valley.

At present I’m living in the Ossola Valley at the foot of the Alps behind Lake Maggiore and I’m working as a professional guide specialised on naturalistic and cultural excursionistic sustainable tourism and leading most French, Spanish and American groups on walking and hiking tours on Lakes Como, Maggiore, Orta and Ossola Valleys Alps. In the past years I’m putting my experience as a leader in designing walking tours for travel agencies and tour operators to plan and set new walking itineraries, both guided or self-guided. In 2017 I obtained the licence of Nordic Walking Instructor and in 2018 I’ve obtained the qualification of Official Guide of Val Grande National Park.

Having the licence of both Tour Guide and Naturalistic Hiking Guide gives me the possibility to share different kind of information with my guests, to comply their different interests and to combine days of visits to the ones of hiking.

I love travelling and discovering different places and relative local people, trodding along paths and deeply sensing nature and the mountains. I’m greatly tied to the surrounding territory, I try to show visitors what lies within and without things, taking in the landscape by slowing down the pace, savouring beauty and curiously observing traces of the past which still exist around us.

The areas where I operate:

As Professional Hiking/Walking Naturalistic Guide:

- Alps of Ossola Valley (Pennine and Lepontine Alps): Devero Veglia Natural Park (official guide), Val Grande National Park (official guide), Uriezzo Gorges, Anzasca Valley with Mount Rosa, Antrona Valley Natural Park (official guide), Bognanco Valley, Divedro Valley, Vigezzo Valley, Strona Valley
- Italian Lakes District: Lake Maggiore, Mottarone, Lake Orta, Lake Mergozzo, Lake Como.

As Professional Tour Guide:

Lake Maggiore (Borromeo Islands and Stresa, botanical garden of Villa Taranto, Centovalli train, Locarno, Pallanza, Intra, Baveno, The Mottarone cable car with visit of the Alpinia alpine garden). Lake Orta (the Island of Saint Giulio, Orta, the Sacro Monte Unesco site, wine tasting). Lake Mergozzo. What people are saying about Explore-Share

Man

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Maxine

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
