Description
There are a number of wonderful peaks throughout Mexico that you can climb. Most of them aren’t even that difficult. Moreover, they all offer some spectacular views. One such peak is the Monte Tlaloc (4,120m), which, during this full-day adventure, you will get to trek to the very top of.
Much more than just a mountain, the Monte Tlaloc is a mythical peak with huge significance in the ancient Aztec culture. At the center of the summit, you will not just be standing at the top of the peak, but at a spot, where many years ago, people gathered for ceremonies dedicated to Tlaloc, the Aztec God of Rain. There is something incredible about standing in the same place, in the same unseen footprints of people from civilizations past, and that is exactly what you’ll get to do on this trip. Furthermore, from the summit, you will also get to gaze far into the Mexican landscape, while also admiring another mythical peak, the nearby Iztaccihuatl (5,230m).
Not a difficult hike, this trekking expedition is open to people of all levels. However, it is important that all participants on this trip are in good physical condition.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me!
