Description

Explore Spain in a very unique way. Learn about its history, culture and nature on this day hike across the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park and through the historical town of Segovia.

The first part of our trip will be trekking the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park for about 3 hours. This fantastic park is a protected area with enchanting forests, creeks, lagoons, meadows and mountains. It covers more than 30,000 hectares. And it has unique flora and fauna encompassing 11 different ecosystems, including high Alpine mediterranean vegetation, exclusive to the area. Thus, you’ll encounter over 1,280 species, 13 of which are in danger of extinction. Plus, there are many animals that inhabit this place, that include eagles, deer, boars, wolves, mountain goats, foxes etc. So keep your eyes open for the many creatures you cold spot.

Then, once we explore this fantastic place, we’ll head towards Segovia. This ancient town is home of some of the most interesting sites in Spain, most of them in the Old Town. Take in its medieval atmosphere, through its cobblestone streets and old alleyways. And let me show you its most interesting spots, such as the Aqueduct, the gothic Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, and of course the mesmerizing Alcazar castle.

What’s more, you’ll get to try the exquisite local delicacies. So you can discover new flavors like the roast suckling pig, paired with a delicious Ribera red wine.
