Description

If you are in the mood for a new adventure, come with me to this amazing climbing trip to the marvelous Grossglockner! We will spend 2 days in the heart of the Austrian Alps, witnessing the most beautiful landscapes.

Every rock-climbing fanatic must have heard of this splendid mountain peak. The Grossglockner, with its 3798 meters, is the highest mountain in Austria.

And it turns out to be the tallest one in the Alps, going Eastern the Brenner Pass.

At the top of the mountain, there is an enormous cross and there is where everybody wants to arrive. And now you have the opportunity of reaching that summit.

It is a 2-day trip full of challenges and adventures and, at the same time, extremely rewarding. The best part is that you don’t have to worry about anything. I will take care of the organization and provide everything you need.

However, in order to be part of this trip, you must have some previous climbing experience. Also, you have to be in optimal physical shape to be able to complete the ascents. We will climb the mountain upwards for about 400 meters an hour.

More importantly, you must tolerate well medium height positions and if you have previous experience dealing with crampons it can be really useful in this expedition.

I will be your guide and the climbing groups will have no more than 3 people. This is how I can guarantee your ascent to be totally safe as well as personalized.

Of course, if you have any questions regarding the trip you can contact me.

So, if this is the trip you have always been waiting for, join me. I am sure the experience of climbing the magnificent Grossglockner will amaze you. I’ll be waiting for your contact. It will be a pleasure to guide you to the top of the Austrian Alps’ highest mountain.

I also lead a climbing program in the Großer Wiesbachhorn. Check it out!

Mountain Guide

The mountains have always been a great part of my life. I was a youth leader of the Alpine Association of Zell am See, Bergrettungsmann, and completed the training as a ski and snowboard instructor. I studied meteorology because it can be very useful in mountaineering. My first trips took me to the Eastern Alps, around Piz Bernina and Biancogray. I also had the chance many times the amazing Mont Blanc range and the peaks around Chamonix. Finally, I got to practice in the high mountains of Bolivia and Chile.
I have really found my calling as a mountain guide. I am right where I always wanted to be. The smile on my clients' faces at the summit or after an intense ski day is so rewarding!
I am part of a team of local guides (Bergführer Zell am See Kaprun), all friends of mine, guys with whom I share the passion for the mountains. They are Markus B, Markus H and Gerald, all IFMGA certified guides. Our philosophy is "to know how to do something well is to enjoy it". Therefore, we always keep learning to give you the best experience.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
