Description

Head to the northeast of Marseille and take on the Sainte-Victoire in France! Discover the amazing region near Aix-en-Provence that is dedicated to the sport of rock climbing and spend a day on an amazing guided program!

The Provence region of France is a popular tourist destination. Its history and charm are sought after from worldwide travelers, and many flock to this locale just off the Mediterranean for rest, relaxation, and – most importantly – adventure. Sainte-Victoire, the daunting mountain ridge adjacent to Aix, beckons to those in the area who are after a little excitement.

The size of this massif encourages all kinds of climbers to scale its walls, and its proximity to Marseille makes it easy to access. There are single- and multi-pitch routes, and courses that accommodate both trad and sport climbers alike. It is one of the top rock locations in southern France.

Your program will take advantage of all of its assets. We will take a day to reach every nook and cranny available to us, all the while enjoying the pleasant views from our climbs. You will experience first hand the reason why Cezanne featured Sainte-Victoire in a number of his paintings.

Mountain Guide

Even as a kid, I knew I wanted to become a mountain guide. Growing up in Aix-en-Provence, in southern France, the Alps have been my playground since a very young age. Amazing climbing spots like the Calanques and Gorges du Verdon were just a stone throw's away from my hometown.

Eventually, I also became an architect, another long-time passion. As an architect, I lived in New York, Barcelona and Rotterdam and learned to speak fluent English and Spanish. I also met great people and had an amazing time while doing it!

I'm now back home in France and spend most of my time guiding in the Alps. I'll be happy to take you rock climbing, skiing or mountaineering to some of my favorite spots.
