Description

The Dolomites are undoubtedly one of the best places on Earth for rock climbing. Join me on this 1-day adventure to reach the Cima Piccola di Lavaredo, via the normal route.

There are three iconic limestone towers standing at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. These three colossal peaks are painted in the most dazzling yellow tinted colors. Hence, the view from their summit is incomparable. Also, they offer endless routes. So it opens the possibilities for all type of climbers.

And within the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the Cima Piccola stands out for its beauty and rock climbing routes. This prominent arete hosts fantastic routes. Here, you will find challenging places that rank III, some passages III+, as well as one passage IV.

Even though it is the smallest of the Lavaredo peaks, it is one of the most difficult ascents. However, the approach is quite easy, right from the parking lot outside Rifugio Auronzo. From there, we’ll follow a large path hiking up to the Lavaredo Refuge. Thereupon the real adventure begins. We’ll encounter magnificent rock climbing walls, with marvellous grips and top notch rock quality.
