Description

Champéry is located in the Vallée d’Illiez, Switzerland, at an altitude of 1,050 meters. Lying between the Dents du Midi and the Dents Blanches, it is an area heavily exposed to snow. This outing is your chance to enjoy its amazing freeride and ski touring opportunities.

Thanks to its location, on the north-western side of the Alps, this region gets covered by fresh snow very often. We can focus this trip on freeride ski or ski touring. It is totally up to you!

If you prefer freeride skiing, we will take short hikes with skins to access wide powder fields close to the lifts. But if you are up for a really different skiing adventure, you should go for the ski touring experience. We will use skins to climb and get away from bustling lifts and pistes. We will finally reach some quiet and unbelievable untracked terrain.

Champéry is a typical and idyllic Swiss mountain town located within Les Portes du Soleil, one of the world's largest ski resorts. Champéry is the western gateway to this huge ski domain, and one of the oldest in the Swiss side.

We will be close to the other ski resorts in the region, like Avoriaz, Morzine and Châtel on the French side, and Morgins and Les Crosets on the Swiss side. We can visit several of them if you arrange for more days.

Mountain Guide

The Jura massif is an ideal place to learn and grow your experience in alpine techniques. I practice mountaineering, ski touring and ice climbing in the winter. I am also located very close to the Swiss and French alpine massifs.

First, I started as a ski rescuer. My passion for skiing and climbing helped me discover the classic routes in the mythical summits of the Alps. The first mountain courses I went on with friends as a guide - which I did with a lot of effort, doubts and perseverance - were much needed to build my experience. Still, they also gave me a lot of joy, and I was able to pursue them while laughing and creating beautiful moments shared.

My experience and terrain knowledge will allow you to move safely and enjoy your time, without a promise of the summit but of sharing a privileged and unique moment in the mountains.

Finally, I'm a fully certified IFMGA mountain guide.
