Description
Want to discover some beautiful Belgian landscapes with your friends and family? My wife Didi and I invite you to join us on our very special hiking tours around the Famenne-Ardenne area in Wallonia, Belgium.
What makes our hiking tours unique is that we will bring along our donkeys – Jeannot, Myrtille, Praline, Pepito and Charly – who will help us carry our lunches and will make the tour unique for both children and adults alike.
During our hike, we will tell you everything about this beautiful region that we know and love so much! And if you want, we can also prepare a picnic lunch for us to enjoy in the forest, including some of the region’s specialties, including wine, bread, cheese and cold meats.
Some of the stunning spots we can explore include: the Famenne area and Calestienne (Fond des Vaulx). The area is covered in lush forests and stunning rivers and makes for an awesome hiking location.
In total, we will hike for around 5-15 km, depending on whether you choose a half-day or full-day hike. We can even organize multi-day package tours that include all meals and nights in a bivouac or B&B. Don’t hesitate to ask!
Take into account that this tour is open to anyone with a basic fitness level who enjoys spending time in nature and discovering the local culture and gastronomy.

- The price includes the guiding fee and the company of my donkeys. Please note that we offer a discount for children, who only pay 18 euros per child.
- If you'd like us to prepare a picnic lunch for you, we can put together some of the area's specialties for 10 euros for an adult and 4 euros for children.

I’m an International Mountain Leader (IML) certified by UIMLA and I'm the President of UPMM (The Belgian Association Member of UIMLA). I used to work for the Belgian army as a Lieutenant-Colonel Commando-Paratrooper and I’m a member of the Belgian Alpine Club (CAB).
Together with my wife Didi, we organize hiking tours with a few donkeys that we own. Join us with your family or your friends, for a half-day, a full day or even several days. These hikes are unique and accessible to everyone.
