Description

On this exciting adventure, I would like to guide you to the summit of the beautiful Balaitous peak (3,144m).

Located in the Pyrenees of Spain, in the province of Huesca, the Balaitous peak is a sensational mountain. It has seven different ridges, and all of which are worth seeing and exploring. One of the first mountains you see when arriving from the Atlantic ocean, the views you get on from this peak are incredible. This peak also rests on the border between Spain and France.

There are different routes we can take the summit of the Balaitous peak. We can climb through the glacial lakes of Arriel and the great Diagonal. There is also a route that goes through the Neus glacier from the Azun valley. However, the most common route is the one that passes the Respoumuso hut (2,133m). From there we will access the La Tour gap. The gap is a picturesque area that will allow you to freely move about the granite surface of the peak.

While not an overtly technical climb, the ascent of Balaitous is still fairly challenging because the climb is very physically demanding. As a result, participants on this trip should be in good physical condition.
