Description

Bakhmaro in Georgia can definitely be classified as a hidden gem. Construction of the resort only started in 2007. Hence making it a very new, and still relatively undiscovered winter paradise.

At an altitude of 1,900 metres, Bakhmaro, when completely finished, would be the highest ski resort in the entire country of Georgia. And at that time, there is no doubt it will become an immensely popular resort as well. However, before that time, if you are looking to go to a place where the crowds have not yet flocked to, Bakhmaro is definitely the place for you.

The snow around the Bakhmaro area is exquisite and plentiful. Hence making for some fantastic slopes where you can freely enjoy some great off-piste snowboarding. Surrounded by the beautiful Caucasus mountains, you will also get to enjoy some truly magnificent views.

The trip will begin when you land at the Kutaisi aiport. Form there you will be transferred Chokhakoura. After that, we will make our way to Bakhmaro, where you can start enjoying the slopes. There is no real set itinerary for this trip. Instead, throughout the week, depending on weather and snow conditions, I will guide you through the ample slopes and show you the best spots for some great off-piste snowboarding. And at night, you will get to relax and sleep in a comfortable cottage.

The price includes all accommodation, meals and transfers.

The cost of a single room supplement is 280 Euros per week (subject to availability). Also the safety package (pips, probe, shovel, bag) is 130 Euros per week (subject to availability).

I'm a fully certified IFMGA / UIAGM mountain guide from Tbilisi, Georgia. I have the GMGA (Georgian Mountain Guides Association) certificate and I'm a member of the Austrian Mountain Guide Association.

I'm a professional mountaineer, national team member of Georgian Mountain Federation. I am actively climbing in the Caucasus mountain range.

The programs I guide more often are:
- Mountaineering = Mt. Kazbek, Mt. Tetnuldi, Mt. Ushba, Chaukhi region.
- Ski Touring = Gudauri, Svaneti, Kazbegi regions.
I also manage large expeditions and base camps for Caucasus Mountains.
