Description

I invite you to join me on a guided ski touring ascent to Aneto (3404 m), the highest peak in the Pyrenees. During this 3-day trip I will also take you to the Pico de Alba (3107 m) summit. Join me and get ready to ski down these fantastic mountains in the Spanish Pyrenees!

Aneto lies in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, in the Aragon Province. This beautiful mountain is part of La Maladeta Massif and it holds the largest glacier in the Pyrenees.

We will meet in the city of Benasque and from there we will skin up for 2 to 3 hours to the Renclusa Hut, where we will sleep that night.

On the second day, we will climb up Aneto. It will take us from 5 to 7 hours. From the summit, we will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees mountains. Then we ski down to Aigualluts and Renclusa Hut, where we spend the night.

Finally, on the third day, we climb up Pico d’Alba and enjoy an amazing descent of 1350 meters.

Itinerary

Day 1: Benasque-Renclusa Hut

Friday. We meet in Benasque and skin up to Renclusa Hut for 2 to 3 hours. (+400/500m). The time will depend on the access route conditions. We sleep at Renclusa Hut.

Day 2: Aneto summit-Aigualluts-Renclusa Hut

Saturday. Today we climb up Aneto (3404m) for 5 to 7h (+1200m). Descent to Aigualluts and Renclusa Hut (-1400m). Sleep at Renclusa Hut.

Day 3: Pico de Alba

Sunday. We climb up Pico de Alba (3107m). It will take us 3 to 5 hours (+900m). Then we ski down to the car (- 1.350m).

-Lunch is available at the hut at 12€ pp per day or you can bring your own food for lunch.

-Splitboard rental There's only one shop in the area with splitboard to rent, MOMBI SURF, located in Val d'Aran. If you wish so I could rent it for you and bring the gear to Benasque. Price vary depending on the quality of the gear. Splits are JEREMY JONES, but binding could be VOIÉ, SPARK or KARAKORAM. I love what I do and love to transmit my passion while guiding.

After touring the world fulfilling my dreams, I have put together all the knowledge gained and a strong background as a mountain guide to become one of the most versatile, dedicated and professional guides in the Pyrenees.

My resume has technical training in mountain medicine, snow studies, search and rescue complete training, meteorology and botany.

I spend the winters enjoying the unique snow conditions in the Aran Valley, as a ski touring and freeride Guide, and summers climbing the countless areas of excellent rock, either granite, limestone or conglomerate in the Pyrenees. I also spend a lot of time in Iceland during the summer guiding my friends and clients across these incredible landscapes.

While traveling the world, I make every effort to show the beauty of the landscapes, the quality of the rock and the best snow in the Pyrenees to everyone who wants to check them out.
