Description

I propose a 1-day trip visiting 7 beautiful spots in the Alpine region of Slovenia.

We'll take a minivan and traverse along these places:

1. Peričnik Waterfall

This beautiful waterfall lies inside Triglav National Park, in the Vrata Valley. We can get there after a 30 min drive from Bled and a short hike.

In fact, this spot consists of 2 waterfalls: the Upper Peričnik Waterfall (which is 16 m high) and the impressive Lower Peričnik Waterfall that has a 52 m drop.

One of the highlights of this waterfall is that you can walk completely behind it!

2. Špik Mountain (viewpoint)

A 2472 m pyramid-shaped peak of the Julian Alps. It belongs to the Martuljek group and it's considered one of the most beautiful in the area.

3. Chainspring of Sava River

The Sava Bohinjka river flows into Bohinj Lake. We'll explore a section where there's a small emerald lake. Under the surface of the lake, you can observe volcanic activity at a micro scale.

4. Island of Lake Predil

A very scenic lake surrounded by an alpine forest, with a small island covered with trees.

Lake Predil stands on the Italian side, at a short distance from the Slovenian border.

5. Soča gorge

The Soča river, famous for its unique turquoise waters, is a must-see attraction in Slovenia. The Great Soča gorge is a wild narrow gorge with fast rapids of an intense emerald color. Prepare your camera for an amazing sight!

6. Vršič Pass (Pagan Girl)

The 'Pagan girl' is a rock formation that lies on the face of Mount Prisank (2547 m). This spot is near Vršič Pass, the highest road pass in Slovenia at 1611 m and a great location to admire alpine views!

7. Lake Jasna

A beautiful alpine lake on the village of Kranjska Gora. There are some nice hiking trails on the surroundings of the lake.

It's worth mentioning that you can combine this tour with different adventures, like rafting in emerald waters or having fun at a zipline.

Mountain Guide

I’m a certified IFMGA mountain guide and canyoning guide living in the small and famous town of Bled, in Slovenia.

I started rock climbing at the age of 5. From that time on, the mountains became my playground. During my childhood, I took part in many rock climbing competitions. When I was 12, my twin brother and I did our first multi-pitch climb on a 350 m wall.

By the age of 16, I started competing in ice climbing world cups and later on skydiving junior world cups. In fact, in 2008 I became the world champion at the UIAA Ice Climbing Overall Ranking in speed ice climbing.

I climbed in many different countries like Peru, South Korea, Switzerland, France and Italy. However, Slovenia is the place I like the most.

Among other significant achievements, I did the first winter ascent (from the bottom of the wall) in Sphinx, the most difficult route in the mythical North Face of Mt Triglav. Besides, I got the first place for males at the IFMGA International mountain guide climbing championship in 2017.

I like sharing moments with people, especially in mountains. Feel free to join me in the highest mountains, steepest walls and many other Alpine wonders. I’m flexible, so we can also research places in other countries worldwide. Deep canyons, emerald rivers, beautiful mountains, great people, a good laugh, you name it.

I look forward to meeting you!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
