Description

A world heritage site since 2009, the Dolomites in northeastern Italy are a mountain range famous for their beauty and for being wonderful climbing terrain.

Limestone rock shaped in peaks, craggs and ledges that all combine to form exciting, challenging and rewarding climbing experiences.

On this trip you will be climbing in the Sella Group, a plateau-shaped massif with a peak of 3,151m at Piz Boe.

Laying at the interesction of four valleys, other peaks of the Sella Group include Cima Pisciadu 2,985m, Beseekofel 2,910m, the four Sellaturme 2,696m, Sass Pordoi 2,952m and Brunecker Turm 2,495m.

This ‘Alpinism’ course will aim to see you ascending many of these classic peaks, using well known climbing manoeuvres to enable you to take on even the greatest ascents.

This course requires that you possess a high level of climbing skill already, that you can lead a 6a climb and have experience on multi-pitch routes.

You need to know how to trad climb at grade level IV, have a good awareness of safety and rescue procedures and be in excellent physical condition for multi-pitch climbing routes.

I am a vastly experienced certified mountain guide and I know the area intimately, therefore I will inform you about the area and its history for a more enriching trip.

You will improve your climbing and alpine safety knowledge, your climbing technique and also learn to fall.

Additionally I will enhance your ability to set up belay stations, place gear and to read a climbing route.

If these multiple days of outdoor climbing in the exceptionally beautiful Dolomites gets you excited, then sign up now and let’s get you on the mountainside, feeling the freedom of nature!

If you’re an experienced climber but have less time available then consider this 3-day advanced climbing course near Arco, I’ll help hone any aspects of your technique or knowledge you require. Perhaps you want to decide your own duration, then sign up to this 1+ days of multi-pitch climbing in the gorgeous Sarca Valley.

Mountain Guide

Certified mountain and ski guide and is directing since 15 years the Mountain School Mmove (former Friends of Arco). In the past, his passion had driven him for weeks to the solitude of the Alps, of Patagonia, or of the icy heights of the Karakorum to climb famous walls and peaks and open up new routes.

Today his priorities have moved. He wants to share his enthusiasm for the mountains - while working with his guests and in his spare time with his sons, as his father has once done with him. Mauro Girardi is very proud on its enthusiastic and highly qualified team of local Mountain-and Ski Guides, Hiking Guides and office employees. Mmove is not just a mountain school, but is a steadily growing circle of friends, who would like to realize great experiences. We like to Mmove it !!

Mmove is the only mountain school in the Alto Garda region with a guaranteed weekly program and activities for all tastes and the whole family.

The team is formed by 8 IFMGA/UIAGM Guides, so if Mauro is not available, one of the other highly qualified members of the team will be the guide.

What people are saying about Explore-Share

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Maxine

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
