Description

For anybody who dreams of enjoying the wilderness, especially with fresh snow on the ground, Alaska is for you. It is an incredible place to enjoy a number of winter activities, from skiing to mountaineering. The landscape, along with being spectacular, is vast, an endless terrain of beauty.

On this 7 day ski touring trip, you will have the chance to explore a huge portion of the Alaskan landscape, while enjoying the glorious scenery. Starting and ending in the town of Haines, we will venture out to different areas, all of which offer their own collections of unique sights and experiences.

As a result of the sheer size of Alaska, you could spend a day ski touring in a different place for years and never see the same place twice. It is that big. And it is that incredible.

Just a few of the areas we will visit include the Glacier bay national park, the Wrangell – St. Elias national park, and the famed Coast mountains. Within those areas you will get to see enormous ice fields, amazing peaks, and large, slumbering glaciers. There are a number of thrilling descents down powdered slopes to be found as well. And you will also have the opportunity to a variety of wildlife, from wolverines to even whales, if you’re lucky!

during the days you will get to enjoy a different area, and at night, we will return to Haines, where you can relax and rest in a comfortable hotel. Thus properly preparing for the next day’s fun!

Along with the guiding fee the price includes meals, transportation during the trip as well as safety equipment including avalanche beacons, probes and shovels. However, the price does not include skiing equipment, airfare, or accommodation.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
