Description

I invite you to join me on a 7-day mountaineering course in Ala Archa, a fascinating region in Kyrgyzstan, and a mountaineers' favorite!

If you are looking to move your mountaineering a step further and improve your level, then this is the course for you. This program is suitable for beginners and also for climbers with some previous experience.

The Ak-Sai glacier, in the Ala Archa National Park, is an extraordinary mountaineering destination. It offers more than 150 climbing routes, with options for all levels. Besides, it's just 40 minutes away from Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan.

The Ala Archa National Park is located on the Tian Shan mountain range in Kyrgyzstan. I know the Ala Archa area like the back of my hand, and I've been teaching and training mountaineers for more than seven years.

During this program you will learn the following:

-How to work with a rope
-Useful knots and techniques
-Lead climbing technique
-Second climbing technique
-Ascending
-Anchors and stance organization
-Belay technique
-Improvised rescue
-Jumaring, with 1 and 2 jumars
-Mixed climbing
-Artificial climbing

We will meet in Bishkek and transfer by car to Ala Archa. Then we will hike to the Ak-Sai Hu. It will take us from 4 to 8 hours. Next morning, we will start our training.

Our program will depend on your wishes, weather, snow and avalanche conditions and how fast you can learn. My guests and I usually make a decision in the evening regarding what we are going to do on the next day.

So don't miss the opportunity to improve your mountaineering skills in this amazing location! Send me a request and book your trip. I can design a training program just for you, according to your wishes and level. I will be waiting for you in Kyrgyzstan!

If you have more time available, I also offer a 9-day mountaineering trip, climbing peaks like Corona (4869 m), Uchitel (4560 m) and Boks (4211 m). And if you are looking for a more challenging experience, you should check the 21-day expedition to Peak Korzhenevskaya (7105 m) that I guide.

Mountain Guide

I'm an IFMGA-certified guide from Kyrgyzstan and started guiding professionally in 2003. In my 14 years of guiding, I worked as a high altitude and technical mountain guide, trekking and hiking guide, ski-touring guide and ice and rock climbing gide.

I finished Mountaineering Instructor School in Kyrgyzstan and I am a member of the Kyrgyz Mountain Guide Association (KMGA).

Additionally, I am ”Snow Leopard”. This title is given to those who have climbed all the highest mountains in the former Soviet Union. These include: Lenin peak (7134 m) 2 ascents, Khan Tengri peak (7010 m) 2 ascents, Korzhenevskaya peak (7105 m) 1 ascent, Communism peak (7495 m)1 ascent, Pobeda peak (7439 m)1 ascent.

I have worked all over the Tian-Shan and Pamir ranges. I worked as a guide in Lyallak and Dugoba, in Alla Archa National Park and Suusamyr Valley, Terskey Ala Too and Kyngei-Ala Too.

As a mountain guide, my top 3 priorities are: 1 -safety, 2 –creating positive experiences for my clients and 3 -expedition success.

I am a mountaineer and really love the mountains so I also spend all my free time here. I have participated in expeditions in the Himalayas, Africa, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Patagonia and Russia.

I live and work in a beautiful mountainous country and I will be glad to show you the virgin beauty of the Kyrgyz mountains.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
