This 7-day rock climbing program in Sardinia will take you to the wildest parts of an amazing Island.Sardinia is the Mediterranean’s second largest island, only after Sicily. It’s an autonomous region of Italy and it’s located in the western area of the Mediterranean, immediately south of Corsica, which belong to France. And this program is designed to take you rock climbing in the best spots around the island. We’ll choose from incredible grey limestone formations or fantastic granite walls and we’ll always have the beautiful turquoise sea below us.The whole trip will be done with a car, which will allow us to move freely to wherever you want to climb. So you can decide to stay in one spot for a few days or move around constantly.I usually take my client to visit Cagliari’s historic centre on the first morning, which has an amazing historic and cultural value. Then, if you want, we can go to the famous Poetto Beach for a swim, or go directly to climb in the crags of Cala Fighera. From then on it we’ll be the best rock climbing experience you’ll ever live.So send me a request to book this 7-day rock climbing program in Sardinia and get ready to lose yourself in the wildest spots of this amazing island.
From Cagliari airport we’ll pick a car and go the site you chose.
The first morning will be devoted to visit Cagliari’s historic centre, the famous Poetto Beach for a swim and then drive to the crags of Cala Fighera. We will find great limestone, with holes and notches with concretions. The wall is not very high but the panorama and some interesting routes make it a worthy stop by.
Transfer to the Domusnovas area and the caves of San Giovanni. 16 sectors await us with a number of impressive routes on great grey limestone. From drop plates to impressive overhangs on pipes. Really spoilt for choice!
We head to Masua, famous seaside resort dominated by a beautiful sea stack called Pan di Zucchero, that will brighten the view during the climb. The Castello dell’Iride section just a few minutes from the sea has a superb rock not to be missed for anything in the world. After climbing, a dip in this wonderful sea is a must.
We continue our journey heading to the Canyon of Gutturu Cardaxius where you can climb on walls with holes, concretions, pipes and cracks. Sections such as Istentales, Piccolo Canyon and Banana Republic will satisfy any urge to climb. A dip in the nearby and unique Cala Domestica is a must.
We travel to Buggerru and San Nicolò, with their huge golden beach, where we will relax before going inland to the Muro dei Sogni or the amazing Grotta dei Nasi Lunghi, where we will climb massive stalactites.
If the urge to climb remains, we can head to Punta Pilocca where we will find a great grey limestone on slabs or pipes and holes on vertical walls. Time flies and we must hurry back to Cagliari to catch our flight back. There is still plenty to see and experience, and we are left with the desire to return to this wonderful island as soon as possible.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
