Mihnea, an IFMGA-certified mountain guide, planned this exciting and demanding 7-day ascent of the mythical Mont Blanc and Matterhorn. Check it out!

Two of the most renowned peaks in the Alps are Mont Blanc and Matterhorn. On this tour, I will guide you to both their summits over the course of a week.
The first 3 days will be dedicated to Mont Blanc (4810m). It is the highest peak in the Alps and, for many, one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. We will climb either by the Gouter route (classic route) or by the 3 Monts traverse (Mont Tacul, Mont Maudit, Mont Blanc). The final decision will depend on the conditions of the terrain as well as the weather.
To complete this ascent, you will need a very good fitness level and some previous acclimatization. Plus you will have to be comfortable with some mountaineering techniques, such as walking in crampons and using an ice axe.
Then we will have a well-deserved resting day, during which we will transfer to Zermatt or Cervinia, depending on which route we will use to climb the next peak.
The ascent of the Matterhorn (4487m) will take place over the last 3 days of the tour. Matterhorn, located at the border between Switzerland and Italy, is the symbol of Switzerland, a truly stunning mountain. Again, depending on the terrain conditions and the weather, there are two possible routes that we can take, both equally exciting: the Lion ridge (Italian normal route), or the Hornli ridge (Swiss normal route).
As this is a demanding climbing adventure, it is important to be in good physical shape and to have mountaineering experience. If you are not sure whether you have the required level, feel free to ask me.
Thinking of completing the ascent of Mont Blanc and Matterhorn next season? Then don’t hesitate to send me a request! It will be a true pleasure to guide you up there.

Mountain Guide
I’m an IFMGA mountain guide, a geographer and a passionate alpinist and climber.
I started going in the mountains as a child, at first very close to my home, in the Romanian Carpathians. In these mountains I discovered the passion for outdoor activities and climbing. It was not long until I started discovering other mountains and their challenges and I began building a "mountain climbing lifestyle".
I went in different expeditions around the world and I am always looking for interesting challenges in far away mountain ranges. As often as possible I spend my time in the Alps, training, climbing and enjoying life.
I became a national mountain guide in Romania in 2011. Since then, I love sharing my passion for the mountains and I enjoy taking clients to incredible places. I'm also a volunteer in educational activities to promote the values of authentic alpinism.
I believe in self development and always getting better at what I do, so in 2015 I joined the IFMGA mountain guide training program at EEMGA (East European Mountain Guides Association) and became a fully certified IFMGA mountain guide in 2018.
It will be my pleasure to guide you in any adventure in the mountains.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
