Provence is a great region for outdoors activities. Indeed, the potential to do many of them is huge. That is why I organized a 6-day trip in which we will practice different disciplines.
Mas Montredon is a charming guest house located at the heart of the Camargue Regional Natural Park. It will be our base during these 6 exciting days. The perfect location of this accommodation will allow us to enjoy varied outdoor activities in all comfort, enjoying each morning a delicious breakfast and returning each evening to a cosy environment.
The activities can be: canyoning, hiking, equestrian hiking, climbing, via ferrata… You will see how magnificent Provence is!
When we go hiking, we will do it in the Alpilles, Gard of Vaucluse massifs. They are all beautiful destinations, with a typical air from Provence. The program also includes an equestrian hike, guided by a certified horse riding teacher. The via ferrata will be either in Alpilles or in Cavaillon, and rock climbing can be in Mouriès, Orgon, Cabaillon or Fontvieille. We will also descend a river canoeing, and practice canyoning. I think this gives you an idea of how complete the trip will be! For more information you can check out the daily itinerary below.
Are you tempted to try all of these activities during a fantastic week in beautiful Provence? Then make sure to send me a request and let’s start the adventure!
Meeting at 9AM at Mas Montredon. We will leave right away for a pedestrian or aquatic hike, depending on the season and the weather. We will either go to Alpilles, Gard or Vaucluse.
After breakfast we will meet the certified horse riding teacher, prepare the horses and start the day. Depending on the level of the participants, we will go around L’Etang de Vaccarès, the Manade or near the “Grande Bleue”.
Breakfast and preparation for the via ferrata. We will go to Alpilles or Cavaillon. I will teach you techniques. We will have a picnic in a cave!
Breakfast and transfer to the canoe base at the Petit Rhône river. We will descend the river canoeing surrounded by typical landscapes.
In the evening we will watch a movie: “Expédition à l’Ama Dablam”.
Breakfast and transfer to either Mouriès, Orgon, Cavaillon or Fontveille. We will practice rock climbing, learning about safety. There are options for all levels.
During our last day we will go canyoning. Depending on the season the canyons will have more or less water. We will practice abseiling descents, sections with fixed ropes… It is a great initiation to inspire you for other canyoning adventures.
The trip ends around 5PM.

IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guide
I come from Marseille and I found my passion for mountaineering very early, climbing Les Calanques, some mountains in the Verdon region and in the Alps. I got my IFMGA (mountain guide) certificate in 1983 and my ski instructor license in 1985.
I brought my clients on many summits of the Alps and went abroad to discover the world. I went skiing, climbing, mountaineering… in Morocco, Norway, Algeria (Hoggar), Yosemite (El Capitan) and Nepal. I discovered this passion for travelling and started to organize my first trips with my clients. In the late 80’, I went to the Annapurna Sanctuary and I did several ascents in Peru (Pisco, Yanapatcha and Huascaran). In the 90’, I did several trips in Nepal (Helambu, Langtang…).
I then kept on and further explored the world with my clients: Rolwaling traverse (Perchamo, Mera Peak Mingbo La), the summits of Yala Peak and the Yana Kanga, Patagonia (in Argentina), Manaslu tour in Nepal, Meso Kanto La, Mustang, Atacama desert in chili and many others.
I like bringing my clients mountaineering in summer and ski touring / heliskiing in winter.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
