Description

In the upper reaches of the region of Lombardy, the mountains of the Rhaetian Alps watch guard over the valleys. In the heart of this alpine region we will discover the stunning Val Masino as well as the Val di Mello.

I will lead you on naturalistic observations of our surroundings, concepts of naturalistic photography and topography. And also our evenings will have a naturalistic and environmental theme.

Val Masino is a beautiful commune 56 miles north of Milan. With a population of less than 1,000 this sleepy region has become a vibrant hub for international climbers and hikers.

Then we will hike to Val Di Mello, a much larger site for all forms of climbing of the highest quality. Known as the Italian Yosemite Valley, the region is also home to a natural reserve, which was opened in 2009.

On our 6-day hike we will walk through the wildest and most hidden areas of the regional park of Bernina-Disgrazia. This location draws you into the presence of magnificent alpine peaks and offers particular geological history.

We will visit the Val di Mello Nature Reserve, which is rich in flora and fauna. Eagles, chamois, ibex, marmots and stoats all call this place home. We will cover some sections of the beautiful Life Trail of the Rhaetian Alps, which unites 5 EU sites of community importance.

Our itinerary will be built from your own level of skill and interest. So the excursion is suitable for all types, from beginners to experienced hikers.

INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAIN LEADER and GRADUATED IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES. The mountain is a passion that is constantly renewed. The beauty of mountain environment and landscape, where you can still breathe the air of true wilderness, is a panacea for the spirit and physical well-being, especially for who live and work in towns.
In my case, the spark was fired in 1996, when I hiked over several days the Alta via delle Leggende in the Dolomiti. Since then began a journey that led me to know the different areas of the alpine region, from the Maritime Alps to the Julian Alps.

Graduated in Environmental Sciences in 1999, I worked first for the environmental sector of the Province of Pavia and then for the Italian Alpine Club. In 2006 I became a Medium Mountain Leader, registered in the list of the Regional College of Lombardy Alpine Guides.
Finally in 2015 I became International Mountain Leader.
