Description

Whether you have never climbed before or are learning to climb and want to improve your technique, this 4-day course will help you on your way!

Located in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, the HUDY climbing wall welcomes all adventurers and amateur climbers who wish to learn about the amazing world of indoor rock climbing.

I have carefully designed this 4-day course and each day we’ll have a 2 hour class where we’ll focus on different topics. From basic climbing elements and equipment to communications and tactics, I will teach participants all they need to know to safely and confidently start this exhilarating sport. Please keep in mind that this program is 2 hours per day over the course of 4 non-consecutive days.

Rock climbing can seem intimidating, that’s why I’ll teach you the best techniques and practices to ensure you can move safely and independently on the artificial walls. Moreover, I’ll make sure participants are having fun at all times!

Itinerary

Day 1: First lesson

*Basic climbing material for moving on an artificial climbing wall with rope protection.

*Climbing on different profiles, technique and tactics of climbing.

*Fundamentals of TR protection, safety devices and their use (harness, rope, bucket).

*Linking and basic nodes, communication, partner check.

Day 2: Second lesson

*Fastening and protection using HMS using the top rope.

*Basic climbing communications using the top rope.

*Climbing tactics when climbing longer trips, choosing the procedure.

*Issue of triggering via HMS.

*Exercise protection using a bucket.

Day 3: Third lesson

*Introduction to climbing of the first class.

*Propelling points, rope guidance, rope positions, and climbers.

*Exercise using top fuse.

*First separate climbing in first position.

Day 4: Fourth lesson

*Enhancement of climbing in the position of a first-roller, tactics of the forefinger, lead in different profiles.

*Falling and catching training with pocket lock

Mountain Guide

I am mountain guide, mountaineer, skier and professional "provocateur". My motto? "Life is too short to take it seriously all the time". Based in Brno, I spend summers rock climbing in the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Chamonix and the winters skiing all over Europe. In the autumn, I sometimes enjoy a short trip to Nepal for a few weeks, where I turn off my phone and just spend time with friends! I specialize in rock climbing courses, ice climbing and ski touring.
