Description

If you want to spend three days of amazing via ferrata accompanied by a professional guide, this trip is for you. Let’s go to the most exciting routes of the Sarca Valley and its surroundings!

The Sarca Valley, in northern Italy, offers a huge terrain with imposing limestone formations for via ferrata. This sports allows anyone to climb walls and it is also a way to start free climbing.

This trip is a unique opportunity to discover many equipped via ferrata routes in the Sarca Valley and Lake Garda areas. You will enjoy fantastic settings and beautiful panoramic views.

Che Guevara, Pisetta, Rio Secco (Salorno), Marangoni Montalbano, ferrata delle aquile (Paganella), Cima Capi, Gerardo Sega (Avio), Rio Sallagoni, Colodri, are some of the via ferrata around sarca valley (rio secco, aquile, montalbano and sega just out of the valley).

We will start with easier and classic routes to gain confidence, and then we will increase difficulty.

Our first spot is Cima Capi, offering a very scenic ferrata that goes 900 m up a vertical wall. It is not difficult but requires physical strength to gain the altitude. It drives you through a beautiful scenery for about 6 hours on an excellent quality limestone.

We will also have an unforgettable experience crossing the sky in the “Ferrata delle Aquile” (italian for Eagles’ Via Ferrata). This is an exciting track enriched by breathtaking views of the Adige Valley.

Finally we will head up a highly demanding via ferrata requiring some alpine experience: Pisetta. Its steep limestone slabs reach an altitude of 970 m.

Furthermore, Sarca Valley offers a sub-mediterrranean charming climate due to its low altitude and the influence of Lake Garda: tourists visit this area during the entire year. There are many different options for accommodation and excellent restaurants, so you can spend an unforgettable vacation here.

So, if you are up for this via ferrata adventure in Northern Italy, please contact me! I’ll be glad to be your guide in this majestic walls that I know so well!

Mountain Guide

I was born in Bozen and I have been living all my life long in Fassa Valley, Dolomites. That's why my native language is ladin, a reto-romanic language spoken around Sella.

My big passion besides traveling is mountains and guiding because I love to show the people the beauty of the mountains.

I was a member of the Italian National Alpine Ski from 1990 to 1997 when I became Ski Instructor. In 2009

I became an IFMAG Mountain guide. I guide in the Dolomites, Sarca valley, Sizialian vulcanoes, Ortles Cevedale area, and Sardinia.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
