Description

Triglav is the highest peak in the Slovenian Julian Alps. It is also a great spot for winter sports and offers the opportunity for an exhilarating splitboarding traverse. I will guide you on this 3-day tour to discover some of its most beautiful spots!

To begin our traverse, we will first take a cable car to the Vogel ski resort. Then we will set off to Dom na Komni which is a mountain hut at 1520m . The following day, we will go to Prehodavci. Finally, on the last day, we will splitboard to the beautiful Krma Valley.

Every day, we will spend between 5 to 9 hours splitboarding in the mountains. Consequently, it is important that you have a good fitness level and that you have previous splitboarding experience. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you throughout the tour.

Itinerary

Day 1: Vogel Ski resort-Dom na Komni

Cable car to Vogel ski resort. From there we traverse to Dom na Komni. The tour takes from 5 to 7 hours.

Day 2: Dom na Komni- Prehodavci

Dom na Komni – Kal – Lopunica – Seven lakes – Prehodavci (sleeping in winter room). The tour takes from 7 to 9 hours.

Day 3: Prehodavci-Krma Valley

Prehodavci – Kanjavec – Velo polje – Triglavski dom Kredarica – Krma valley. The tour takes from 7 to 9 hours

Equipment rental (skies, skins, boots) is around 30€ per day. Cable car is around 10€, food and accommodation is cca 50€ per night.

I am a UIAGM mountain guide, ski instructor and sports teacher and the current president of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association.

I am still the only guide who can make a living working exclusively in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country over 200 times.

If you want to climb or ski in Slovenian mountains I am the right choice. I guide via ferrata, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, hikes, heliski, freeride skiing and ski touring.
