* Climb one of the most beautiful summits in the world
* Get a good acclimatization to altitude with a 25-day program
* The ascent involves technical rock, snow and ice climbing
Ama Dablam is a majestic pyramid-shaped peak in the Himalayan mountain range of eastern Nepal, lying at 6,812 meters. Its unique beauty and pure exposure on its flanks make it one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.
Climbing Ama Dablam is a challenging mountaineering experience, due to its technical difficulties and altitude. Even Everest veterans have problems with the technical challenges encountered on the crux pitches of this climb. Ama Dablam is the third most popular peak for authorized expeditions in Nepal. The most common route to the top is by far the south-west ridge.
This program is designed for you to get a good acclimatisation before attempting the summit. We also have a few reserve days, in case of bad weather or difficult conditions during the ascent.
This ascent combines great treks with technical rock, snow and ice climbing, so you need to have solid rock-climbing, mountaineering and cramponing skills in order to join this ascent expedition.
We will meet in Kathmandu, and after arranging some formalities and checking equipment, we will fly to Lukla on the third day. On the next day, we will trek to Namche Bazaar, until we reach Ama Dablam Base Camp on the sixth day.
We will have some mountaineering training before we reach Camp I. Climbers usually set up three camps along the ridge -Base Camp/ Camp I/ Camp II . On Day 15 we plan to attempt Ama Dablam summit. You will be amazed by breathtaking views from the top of this stunning mountain in the Nepalese Himalayas. You can check the day-by-day itinerary below
A liaison officer and a climbing permit are mandatory to attempt Ama Dablam summit, but we will take care of everything, permits and ascent organisation, from porters and Sherpas, to food, flights and accommodation.

Mountain Guide
Certified by the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association (IFMGA/UIAGM), I have had an intimate relationship with the Himalayas since growing up in a farming family in the foothills of the Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri mountain ranges of mid-western Nepal.
Beginning as a porter, self-motivation and personal initiative led me to become a trekking guide before pursuing my IFMGA certification. I have since become a Mountain Leader Instructor, Examiner and am trained in Helicopter Long Line Rescue.
Excelling as a high altitude freelance guide with strength as a technical climber, I have led successful expeditions on Everest (8 848 m), Lhotse (8 516 m), Manaslu (8 156 m), Ama Dablam (6 812 m) and an abundance of other Himalayan peaks.
Beyond the borders of Nepal, I have experience climbing in the European Alps as well as India where I am a member and volunteer instructor with the International Federation for Climbing and Mountaineering.
More than a decade of mountaineering experience has allowed me to hone my skills of leadership, teamwork, communication and managing adversity on the mountain. Safety is my utmost priority, as such, given itineraries reflect optimal conditions and health.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
