Description

Are you ready for a mountaineering adventure you will never forget?  How about a 2-day ascent to Gran Paradiso (4,061 m)? Prepare to conquer your first 4,000m peak in the Italian Alps!

Known for being the 7th highest peak in the Graian Alps, Gran Paradiso (4061m) lies between the Aosta Valley and Piedmont regions. It’s located in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park. This 2-day ascent is the perfect opportunity to explore this area’s stunning wilderness.

We’ll start our expedition by driving to the Pravieux mountain (1,834 m) located in the Valsavarenche region. From there, we’ll ascend to our beautiful Chabod Refuge ( 2750 meters) where we’ll rest and prepare for our summit attack. On the following morning, we’ll reach the Gran Paradiso Summit.

Even though Gran Paradiso is considered to be one of the easiest 4,000 meter peaks in the Italian Alps, some mountaineering experience will be required. Additionally, all participants must be in good physical shape.

As you can see, Gran Paradiso offers the ideal setting for un unforgettable 2-day trip. Send your request and book your place!  I will make sure to accommodate to your wishes and needs.

Aspirant Guide

Aspirant IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide
My name is Marco Bigatti, nicknamed “Il Biga”. I was born in Milan, I started climbing in 2006 and since then I have not been able to tear myself away from the vertical world. I turned my passion into a job, becoming Mountain Guide in October 2017, the first mountain guide that lives all the year in Sardinia.
I experience the mountains from a 360-degree point of view. I have practiced all disciplines of climbing in the Alps: rock climbing, alpinism, ice climbing , as well as ski mountaineering.

In addition to alpinism, I love pure sport climbing, seeking out the best climbing sectors throughout the entire Alpine range. But it was in Sardinia that I found a paradise of crags, in particular in the south-west of the island, where you are able to enjoy all types of climbing throughout the year.
I offer climbing day or trips for beginners or experienced climbers who need a guide, multipitch packages for those who want to live an alpine experience, climbing courses, all-inclusive climbing holiday with accommodation in our nice B&B by the sea, guided trekking and mountain biking tours.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
