Description

An extension of the Everest Base Camp Trek, the Everest Chola Pass Trek is an adventurous journey which will lead you on challenging routes in the Himalayas. You’ll see imposing views of several majestic peaks including the Everest, traverse the scenic valleys of Gokyo and discover the unique traditions and lifestyle of the Sherpa people on this 18-day trek in Nepal.

The tour will begin in the capital city of Kathmandu. From there, we’ll board a scenic flight to Lukla. Traversing alpine forest, and crossing many rivers, we’ll get to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest. This spot offers striking views of many high peaks including Mount Ama Dablam, Lhotse and many more.

The trail further leads through Sagarmatha National Park and offers an excellent chance to explore the beautiful plant and animal life of the area. 

From Namche,  we’ll continue to Tengboche and visit the famous Tengboche monastery. Decorated with colorful flags and murals, the monastery is a true spectacle indeed.

Marching along the Khumbu glacier, you’ll eventually get to the Everest Base Camp by the ninth day. And, it sure will be an exhilarating moment to stand on the base camp of the highest peak in the world! The Himalayan range will spread in front of your eyes and you’ll see several majestic peaks including the Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Pumori.

Continuing on ice and snow, you’ll traverse the Chola glacier, and cross the daunting Chola Pass (5300m) to get to the pristine Gokyo Lakes. Here, you can choose to hike to the crest of Gokyo RI before getting back to Namche and finally to Kathmandu to end this exceptional trip.

Regarding difficulty, keep in mind that you must be fit to get onboard. Also, previous hiking experience will be helpful since we’ll be scaling on rocky and icy terrain every now and then.
