Description

Join a certified local guide from Himalayan Recreation Treks and Expeditions on this amazing 15-day trek to the Everest Base Camp and enjoy jaw-dropping views of the highest peaks of the world!

The trip offers so much, from adventure to cultural exploration. You’ll not only see spectacular views of the Himalayas but also catch a glimpse of the rich Sherpa culture as you’ll cross several mountain villages on your way.

We’ll begin the journey from the capital city of Kathmandu, where you will arrive, and also take a tour of the city. Thereafter, we will board a scenic flight to Lukla. And from there, begins your trek.

The trail will take us through many Sherpa villages and other scenic areas of the Khumbu region. You’ll explore the rich plant and animal life of the region walking on trails covered with dense forest and blooming rhododendrons at the Sagarmatha National Park.

Heading further, you’ll visit the famous Namche Bazaar and many beautiful monasteries including the spectacular Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the region. Walking on stunning paths laden with colorful prayer flags, you’ll cross Dingboche, Lobuche and Khumbu Glacier to get to the Everest Base Camp (5,362m) to see breathtaking views of towering Himalayan peaks of Lhotse (8,516m), Nuptse (7,861m) and many more.

Thereafter, we’ll visit Kala Patthar, from where you’ll see unobstructed views of the majestic Mount Everest (8848m) and so many surrounding peaks.

Following the same route, we’ll descend to Namche Bazaar and board yet another stunning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, ending this magical trip.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar acclimatisation day

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3,860 Meters), Duration: 5 Hours

Day 7: Hike to Dingboche (4,410 Meters), Duration: 5 Hours

Day 8: Acclimatisation hike to Nangkar Tshang Peak (5,616 Meters), Duration: 4 Hours

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy.
