Would you like to go on one of the best treks in the Himalayas? Then join this 11-day Langtang Valley Trek and discover some of the most stunning spots in Nepal!

The Langtang Valley is located near the border with Tibet. It is a stunning location with scenic views, Yak grazing grounds, and lovely local Langtang Villages.  On this 11-day program, we will get to experience its natural and cultural treasures.

We will start from Kathmandu, and we will drive to Syabru Bensi, a lovely village from where we will begin our trek. On the way, we will catch sight of the stunning flora and fauna of the region, visit monasteries and villages, pass through small streams and moraines and by Kyangjin Gompa, a famous place in the region with great views of Dorje Larpa, Langtang Ri and Langtang Lirung. You can find a full itinerary below.

Keep in mind that everyone is welcome to join this trek. Of course, you will need a good fitness level. However, we will be there every step of the way to help and guide you, and will also take care of logistics.

Our Tour Package doesn’t include:

• Nepal entry visa fee (you may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport - Kathmandu). You will require 2 passport size photos.

• Your Travel insurance.

• Food while you are in Kathmandu

• All the alcoholic and non-alcoholic Drinks.

• Tipping (expected by guides and porters, but not mandatory)


Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu (1320m)

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Upon arrival at the airport, you will be received by our representative and then transferred to the hotel. Overnight at 3-star hotel (Thamel Eco Resort or The address Kathmandu Hotel)

Day 2: Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi

We will take an early drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi via Dhunche (1966m.). We will drive through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Dhunche. The first part of our drive up to Trishuli Bazaar is quite smooth. Syabru Bensi is the starting point of our trek. It is a beautiful village stretched out along the ridgeline. Overnight stay at Syabru Bensi. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 3: Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2470 m.)

We will trek from Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2470m.). The trail goes along the ridge of Syabru’s main street and then drops to the Ghopche Khola (2050 m.) and then to Pairo (1810m.). From this point, the trail goes to Rimche (2400m.) through Bamboo (1960m.) and finally ends at Lama Hotel. En route, one can see red pandas, monkeys, and bears. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 4: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3430m.)

Having lunch at Lama Hotel, we will trek to Langtang village (3430m.) via Ghore Tabela (3000m.) which takes about six hours. We will find some Yak grazing grounds on the way. The local people bring their livestock for grazing in the high pastures during the summer months. We will find a monastery before we reach Langtang Village. After paying a short visit to the monastery, we will arrive at our destination. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 5: Langtang Village to Kyangjin Gompa (3870m.)

It is our turn to trek from Langtang Village to Kyangjin (3870m.). It takes about three hours to reach there. Our trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens further and the views become more extensive. Kyangjin Gompa is reached after crossing several small streams and moraines. We will visit the cheese factory at Kyangjin Gompa. We will enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Larpa (6990m.), Langtang Ri (6370m.), Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and many more. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 6: Kyangjin Gompa excursion day.

We will acclimatize at Kyangjin Gompa and go for an excursion to utilize our time. We will visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular icefalls and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m). Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 7: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel

Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel. From Kyangjin, we retrace our route following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela. Having lunch at Ghora Tabela, we trek steep descent to Lama Hotel. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 8: Lama Hotel to Sybru Bensi (1460m.)

We trek from Lama Hotel to Sybru Bensi (1460m.). En route, we would find Tamang women weaving cloths. Besides, we would also be fortunate enough experience the rich culture of Tamangs and could see red pandas, monkey and various species of birds. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 9: Syabru Bensi to Kathmandu (1320m.)

We will drive back to Kathmandu from Syabru Bensi. It is interesting to penetrate into the rural settlements on the way back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will be transferred to our hotel. Farewell dinner would be served in a typical Nepali restaurant. Overnight at 3-star hotel (Thamel Eco Resort or The address Kathmandu Hotel).

Day 10: Kathmandu city Sightseeing

Kathmandu city Sightseeing, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar squire. Overnight at 3-star hotel (Thamel Eco Resort or The address Kathmandu Hotel)

Day 11: Departure

Transfer to airport, depart Kathmandu.

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me!
