Follow me on a beautiful hike in the stunning Triglav National Park, Slovenia. Famous for its natural beauty and cultural relevance, this place is perfect to enjoy a day in the Julian Alps. Join me!

At 2,864 meters, the Triglav, also known as “The Three Heads”, is the Julian Alps’ highest peak. It lies on the border with Italy and Austria. Furthermore, as it is Slovenia’s only natural park, it is the setting of many Slovene folk tales. Along the hike, I’ll make sure to share them with you.

Throughout the day, we’ll enjoy the breathtaking views of the nearby peaks and the forest surrounding them. We’ll begin with a smooth hike that will take us to the heart of the forests of the Pokljuka Region. Then, we’ll continue towards a charming mountain hut where a freshly cooked traditional lunch and tea will be waiting for us. We’ll also try samples of a local spirit known as “snachpps”. Finally, we’ll continue towards the other side of Triglav up to the dazzling Radovna Valley.

I am a UIAGM mountain guide, ski instructor and sports teacher and the current president of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association.

I am still the only guide who can make a living working exclusively in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country over 200 times.

If you want to climb or ski in Slovenian mountains I am the right choice. I guide via ferrata, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, hikes, heliski, freeride skiing and ski touring.
