1-day Avalanche safety workshop in Kanin – Sella Nevea

An avalanche safety training is a must for all freeriders, backcountry skiers or mountaineers venturing into avalanche-prone terrain. I invite you to join me on this 1-day avalanche safety workshop in Kanin-Sella Nevea to get the knowledge and techniques you need for a safe experience in the mountains.

The Kanin-Sella Nevea ski resort is very close to the small town of Bovec. It is one of the snowiest regions in Europe, about an hour away from Ljubljana, the capital of the country.

An avalanche safety course is the basis for any adventure in the back country. It is a great way to increase your safety, freedom and enjoyment in the mountains. The most important thing to learn when you find yourself in avalanche terrain is snow and terrain recognition.

We’ll dedicate the first part of the course to the following theoretical content:

• Planning a ski trip

• Snow conditions

• Necessary equipment

• Terrain reading

• Safety protocols
