Kalymnos is located in the Dodecanese, in the southeastern Aegean Sea. It can only be reached by ferry from Athens of nearby Kos, or by plane (national flights only). The island is formed by several cities and villages. You will find more amenities the closer to the island’s port you are, although wherever you stay you will find plenty of bars, taverns, restaurants and crags within walking distance. Moving around the island is quite easy, and most climbers rent a scooter during their stay. The climbing routes in Kalymnos are long and filled with all kind of tufas. You will also find plenty of overhangs. No matter your level, Kalymnos offers great rock climbing and bouldering options for everyone.
