A must-do climb in Norway is the Stetind ascent. The Stetind mountain, which is located in Nordland sits at 1391 meters. It’s actually the national mountain of Norway. The climb is exposed so it’s not for the faint-hearted. You’ll also need ropes and a certified guide to help you climb. Close to Tromsø, you’ll find a number of fjords. One of them is a particularly good location for climbing. The Ersfjord fiord is surrounded by tall mountains which you can traverse. Mount Otertind is another classic Norwegian climbing spot. This is a steep but straightforward climb that even beginners can handle.
