Piz Palü is a beautiful large glaciated mountain in the Bernina Range, between Switzerland and Italy. It has three different summits; the highest of the three lies at 3900 metres high, in the Swiss Canton of Graubünden. Climbing Piz Palü together with Piz Bernina (4049 m), the highest peak in the range, is a very popular climbing traverse in the Alps, that usually takes about 3 days.
