Conocido como el pico de la nieve negra, Urus se erige imponente entre los muchos picos impresionantes de la Cordillera Blanca. Y durante 3 días, nos aventuraremos hasta la cima de este majestuoso pico.
El viaje comenzará donde la mayoría de los viajes que involucran alpinismo en Perú comienzan, en el hermoso pueblo de Huaraz. Desde Huaraz, conduciremos hasta Pashpa (3,670m). Después, caminaremos a través del hermoso valle de Ishinca y pasaremos por el control del parque nacional hasta llegar al campamento base de Ishinca (4,300m), donde acamparemos por la noche.
En el segundo día del viaje, nos levantaremos a las 3:30 a.m. Después, desayunaremos y comenzaremos nuestro ascenso a Urus a las 4:00 a.m. Tomará alrededor de 3 horas llegar al glaciar, y otras 2 horas para alcanzar la cumbre. Tendrás mucho tiempo para disfrutar de las espectaculares vistas desde la cumbre antes de tomar la caminata de aproximadamente 3 horas de regreso al campamento base, donde cenaremos y descansaremos por la noche.
En el tercer y último día de la aventura, regresaremos a través del valle de Ishinca a Pashpa. Desde allí, tomaremos un transporte privado de regreso a Huaraz.
Escalar hasta la cumbre de Urus es una obligación para cualquier entusiasta del montañismo con la suerte de visitar la Cordillera Blanca. Y si quieres experimentar el ascenso por ti mismo, todo lo que tienes que hacer es enviarme una solicitud.
Si quisieras escalar otro pico cercano en el área, también puedo llevarte a la cumbre del Nevado Ishinca en este ascenso de 3 días.

Se recomienda que los participantes lleguen a Huaraz al menos 2 días antes del inicio del viaje para aclimatarse adecuadamente.

Beto Pinto was born to climb giant mountains. Raised in a tiny hamlet in the Shacsha valley outside of Huaraz, he often dreamt of climbing the high peaks which surrounded his countryside home. His first steps he was off trekking and exploring on his own - through remote valleys and high Andean lakes. By age 12, he became the youngest to summit Mt. Vallunaraju (5686m). He next summited Nevado Chopicalqui (6354) at age 14, and by age 15, he stood on top of Nevado Huascaran - the summit he always dreamt of and the highest mountain in Peru. Beto remains the youngest Peruvian to have summited Huascaran.
Beto is licensed as a UIAGM /IFMGA /AGMP Guide, and has WFR certification - this means he is recognized worldwide, and it’s the highest level of guide after 3 years of intensive study and training. He teaches mountain rescue courses to other local guides. He has organized and led the first Peruvian expeditions to the mountains of Ecuador and Bolivia, opening new routes and holding the record time to ascend Mexico’s highest volcano, Pico de Orizaba, in Bolivia Huayna Potosi. Within Peru, he has opened many new routes in various Cordilleras. He is published in The Alpinist, The American Alpine Journal, Desnivel , Barrabes , American Alpine Institute, etc

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area.
