Si siempre has querido practicar raquetas de nieve, ¿por qué no ahora? ¿Y por qué no en la hermosa isla de Kvaloya, Noruega? Únete a mí en una experiencia única en la vida la próxima temporada, justo afuera de Tromsö.

La increíble isla Kvaloya es un sitio perfecto para el raquetas de nieve, en la maravillosa luz del invierno nórdico. Además, desde noviembre hasta mediados de enero, ballenas jorobadas y orcas vienen a este mismo sitio en el fiordo de Kattfjord.

Primero, te encontraré ya sea en el aeropuerto de Zurich para volar a Tromso, o directamente en Tromso. Una vez allí, conduciremos hasta el fiordo de Kattfjord en la isla de Kvaloya.

Desde los días 2 al 6, te guiaré en raquetas de nieve a través de valles desiertos y paisajes áridos, así como bosques espesos. Desde el Tverrfjellet (525 m) podremos ver una vista única del fiordo. Y desde la cima del Vasstranddalen seremos testigos del mágico avistamiento de las ballenas saltando por su arenque. El Día 7, conduciremos de regreso a Tromsö y volaremos de regreso a casa.

Las excursiones diarias en este programa son simples y adecuadas para principiantes, y duran entre 4 y 5 horas. Dadas las condiciones climáticas únicas en esta época del año, con el sol debajo del horizonte, podemos observar las primeras auroras boreales, con las ballenas a solo unos metros de nosotros.

En términos de equipo necesitarás: raquetas de nieve, bastones de esquí, botas de montaña o senderismo, linterna frontal y ropa de invierno (la temperatura promedio en enero es de -4.4°C/24°F).

Ulrica preparará un desayuno y cena ricos. Vuelos de Zurich a Tromso, y de regreso, también están incluidos. Salir desde Alemania o Austria es posible bajo petición.

I became a professional mountain guide after discovering that mountains and wild nature meant the life to me. In 1983 I completed my studies and started an amazing journey. I have been constantly on the road ever since, up in the Alps and on mountains and trekking areas on every continent.

Before I started taking guests on tours, my wife Ulrica was my climbing partner. Together, we spent many autumns in the Klausenpass climbing walls. After our daughter Heidi was born, she started coming along on our tours around the world. Later, our son Thomas and daughter Christina would join us. Even later, our granddaugther Jana came into our lives. All three of our children have become mountaineers as well. I am proud to say that world-strolling is in their blood too.

Having led groups in the Alps and other parts of the world for a long time, I witnessed how the alpine mountain landscape changed over the years. When I started off, we had to cook in the huts for ourselves. We now see suites, whirpools and saunas. Technical difficulties up in the mountain are mitigated with chains and wire ropes - a new way to live the mountain in a time-saving manner. Climbing routes that were inaccessible before have now been made open for the general public.

My heart lives for having more and more original natural experiences. This is the kind of experiences that have made us addicted to the mountain. I continue to strive for taking my guests off the beaten and better-known tracks. This is my commitment to you. I hope you can join me soon!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
