Primero, comenzamos con una reunión en nuestro campamento base para repasar los fundamentos de nuestra excursión. Al día siguiente, una vez que hemos verificado todo, comenzamos el trekking y la escalada en roca hacia la cima del Monte Whitney a una altitud de 4421 m. Para llegar a este punto de vista único tenemos dos opciones. O tomamos la cara este o tomamos la arista este hasta la cumbre. Ambas alternativas nos permiten ascender y descender de regreso al campamento dentro del día. Además, tener un campamento base significa que no tenemos que llevar mochilas pesadas en nuestra aventura. Por lo tanto, aunque se requiere experiencia en trekking y escalada en roca para este viaje, la expedición es muy amigable. Por supuesto, necesitarás un buen nivel de forma física.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
