Libertad total, es una de las maneras de describir el esquí freeride. A diferencia del esquí regular, donde estás limitado a los confines de una estación de esquí o un camino trazado, con el esquí freeride, puedes elegir tu propia ruta. Sin embargo, para practicar esta maravillosa actividad, necesitas las condiciones ideales. ¡Y no hay mejor lugar que las cumbres de Andorra, para este increíble deporte!

Andorra tiene una ubicación única ya que se encuentra en los Pirineos entre España y Francia. Este es un país pequeño pero, uno de los lugares más encantadores de Europa. ¡Es un verdadero paraíso invernal! Aquí encontraremos nieve virgen y empinada, así como nieve polvo incomparable. Todas esas características son esenciales para un gran viaje de freeride.

Debido a la naturaleza del esquí freeride, necesitas estar preparado para aventurarte en lugares salvajes y remotos. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este curso es enseñarte todos los fundamentos para que puedas hacerlo.

Qué equipo esencial necesitas llevar y cómo usarlo, mantenerlo y repararlo
Cómo interpretar el clima y evaluar la estabilidad de la nieve y el entorno
Evaluación de riesgos, protocolos de seguridad y qué hacer en caso de una avalancha o un accidente
El uso adecuado de los transceptores de avalancha y palas
Ciencia básica de la nieve y la metamorfosis de la nieve
Posiciones fundamentales
Tipos de giros y perfeccionamiento de técnicas de descenso
Planificación de descensos en nieve
Técnicas de descenso en nieve empinada y virgen
Seguridad y estrategia para descensos en grupo

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
