Descripción

Ubicado en la región peruana de Ancash, el Tocllaraju (6,034 metros) es uno de los montes más altos y populares de la Cordillera Blanca. Te invito a acompañarme en este ascenso técnico y descubrir esta asombrosa cima con forma de pirámide.

El punto de partida de nuestro programa será la ciudad de Huaraz. Desde allí, conduciremos hasta Pashpa. Este pequeño pueblo será el inicio de nuestro ascenso. Comenzaremos una caminata de 4 a 5 horas hasta el Campo Base (4,350 metros) pasando por el Valle Ishinca. Al día siguiente, iremos al Campo Morrena (4,950 metros) o al Campo Alto (5,100 metros). El ascenso también nos llevará aproximadamente 4 o 5 horas. En el día 3, alcanzaremos la cumbre después de una caminata de 15 a 16 horas. Finalmente, durante el último día del programa, regresaremos a Pashpa y conduciremos a Huaraz.

Aunque no es un ascenso fácil, el Tocllaraju es el monte menos difícil de los picos de 6000 de la cordillera. Te recomiendo encarecidamente tener un buen nivel de forma física y experiencia previa en montañismo para unirte a este ascenso.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
