El Yanapaccha es una montaña situada en la Cordillera Blanca, la cadena montañosa tropical más alta del mundo. Con 5,460 metros sobre el nivel del mar, está dentro del Parque Nacional Huascarán en la Región de Ancash. Aparte de ser un gran lugar para actividades de montañismo debido a sus elevadas montañas, este parque contiene una enorme variedad de flora y fauna, como osos y cóndores.
El ascenso a la montaña es un poco técnico y perfecto para la aclimatación. Ya que es parte del Valle de Llanganuco, una tremenda garganta rodeada por las cimas más altas, podrás deleitarte con las vistas más maravillosas de la zona. Además, durante este ascenso, experimentarás un aumento de elevación de 550 metros.
Este es un viaje de 2 días y nos encontraremos en Huaraz. Desde allí conduciremos durante 4 horas hasta Yungay y luego al Valle de Llanganuco. Después de 2 a 3 horas, llegaremos al Campamento Morrena (4,900 metros) donde pasaremos la noche. En el segundo día del viaje, alcanzarás la cumbre después de un ascenso de 7 a 9 horas y regresaremos a Huaraz en coche.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area.
