El Monte Shasta es un pico volcánico ubicado en el norte de California, cerca de la frontera con Oregón. Es parte de la Cadena de las Cascadas, que se extiende desde Canadá hasta el norte de California. Elevándose a 14,162 pies, Shasta es un lugar increíble para los montañistas. En este tour de 2 días, un guía experto te guiará por la ruta de Clear Creek hasta su cumbre.

Constituido por cuatro conos volcánicos superpuestos, el Monte Shasta puede ser visto desde el suelo del Valle Central, a 140 millas al sur. Varios glaciares cuelgan de la cumbre principal de la montaña, como el Whitney, el más largo de California, y el Hotlum, el más voluminoso del estado.

Clear Creek es la forma menos técnica de llegar a la cima del Monte Shasta. Esta ruta es básicamente una línea recta hacia la montaña y sigue formaciones naturales. En el prado de Clear Creek, una excelente área para acampar en verano, apreciaremos un maravilloso paisaje alpino incluso antes de alcanzar la cumbre, que ofrece una experiencia visual única.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
