Proximity with Russia

There is a border crossing "Larsi" towards the Russian Federation, about 12 kilometers north. During winter (November - February), it is open every day, and in the summer (March - October) from 6 am to 10 pm. The cross-border road is in a mountain tunnel and it is not possible to cross it on foot.

Kazbegi is the most tourist area of ​​Georgia, with a wide range of accommodation, cuisine and transportation. Thanks to the Georgian military road you can easily access one of the most impressive views of the Caucasus: a sunrise on Mount Kazbeg that is always magical.

The easiest way to travel to Kazbegi is by public transportation from Didube, the Tbilisi bus station.
